Photographer’s Note
The "Escaliers du Marché" (literal translation: market stairs) are located in Lausanne. Those covered 160 wooden stairs heading up from Palud Place, deliver you to Rue Pierre-Viret, circling around the pinnacle of the hill, from where more wooden stairs bring you up to the Cathedrale Notre-Dame (Gothic architecture).

Very good picture with a nice composition. I like the stairs on the foreground and the houses on the background! The shadows are very good too!
Well done!

hi Marc,
so this is how Lausanne looks like. I always wanted to see that city.
well, you could have had better lights, but your perspective is pretty good...

Nice photo. I like the strong colours, light and shadows. Good depth, a shame that the white wall seems a bit overexposed, but I am afraid that I don't have any advice for that. I often have the same problem.

Marc,
Nice streetview and interesting note. The play with light and shadow makes it exciting. May you could highlight the shadow part a bit more?

Good perspective and details in this shot of the stairs between the fine buildings. Maybe a little bit 'harsh' light, but still not distrubing for the total impression.
