Photographer’s Note
Taken in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on a very very cold evening. I had to set my camera quickly because even with a pair of gloves all my fingers went numb after a few minutes.

There's been a few icy shots like this recently, this is a great example, excellent compo with teh sun in the narrow strip of sky, and a well observed pattern. Well worth getting cold for.

Merci pour la beauté du paysage. Cela valait la peine d'avoir un peu froid aux doigts.

Just beautiful. What a great compositon and as Nukolay said it looks like a landscape from another world. Amazing patterns with light and ice.

What a beautifull landscape ! I love the differences between colors and their luminosity, the deep and the perspective, it's very well done

You've certainly caught the time. Excellent colours, look much warmer than how it must feel.

Pat, may it be one of your older posting, it is simply fantastic as all other pictures you have posted. Great light, composition and atmosphere. L.

Interesting contrasts you have chosen here; the warm retreating rays of the sun and what we know to be a frosty little pool of water. The yellow/orange of the sun vs. the dark pool of water. You have set this up rather nicely with you POV (what pray tell were you standing on)
