Collage of images made on the just-completed TE visit to Buxton and surroundings. As we walked around town, with everyone firing off what I'm sure are going to be interesting street photographs, I frankly felt a bit intimidated, so I saw red! I made an arbitrary decision to shoot only red subjects. Suddenly red objects appeared everywhere...
Those on the visit were Claude (CLODO), Ann (annjackman), John (tyro), Mike (mjw364), Bev (Royaldevon), Len (lennoland) and Jasmine (Tigerlily). And me. Shame about the weather.

I like the idea of monochromatic picture. The fact you've chosen different subjects make your picture very attractive.

six photos en une, c'est un bon montage avec des détails et le rouge dominant.

Congratulations at having managed to post the very first picture from our meeting in Buxton! And a very appealing and striking image it is too - almost a "double triptych" of little snapshots from one of the sunnier days there.
Very well done as a compilation of well seen and well taken photo opportunities.
P.S. And thank you so much for having put in all the time and effort to arrange what was a wonderful and friendly meeting!

Hello Will - The weather may have been poor but this is full of warmth and sunshine! I like your idea; each little vignette is well seen and together the compilation makes an interesting study of aspects of England.

Interesting and very British collage - there are a few truly iconic images here. Great idea for an unusual souvenir from Buxton :-)

Now I understand your comment about having a red day! This was a great idea and very well constructed. Each image is interesting in its own right. Bold colour and very sharp. A very enjoyable image and a very enjoyable TE meeting - thanks so much for organising it.
Kind Regards, Ann

Fascinating idea for a shot, and really well composed with street, people, objects, life, fashion. It seems this clever collage does include a lot of elements that makes a place what it is, and gives its soul. Very cool, a lesson in photography for me here, I really like this idea!
Royaldevon (26515) 2014-06-06 11:58
Yes, it certainly was a red day!
You found a variety of images, all so very different, to include in this montage. It is surprising how many different elements and textures you can find when you concentrate on just one subject!
A well constructed whole, of sharp, very RED subjects.
Thanks again for arranging the get together,

Very well seen, thoughtful, and smart images. I like them. I have to say that I've been there a few times but I didn't see the RED, hat off to you.
It's very nice to meet you;-).

eye cathing collage on red. one can easily demand following collage themes on basic colors.

Just back home with sun and 29°C!Summer is really there in South West of France!
My proposal for this meeting was street photography, and you succeeded by taking this colorfull patchwork of red hues under a BRIGHT sunshine!!!
Thank you for preparing this meeting and hosting a frenchy during these 2 wet English days

Imaginative response to the lack of opportunities around at the time. I'm more at home in modern urban architecture as you are aware and was frustrated by the lack of my usual subject matter. I like the predominance of vivid red here - reminds me of Liverpool...
Nice arse by the way... hers not yours.

A superb collage, celebrating red... I wish I had been at your TE meeting in Buxton.

Indeed a clever idea and very well observed ;-)
Have a nice day!

well, thats quite the TE meeting!
as i've mentioned to John, the name Buxton is commonly used in Hollywood for naming towns, mostly small towns..i wonder why that is...guess it just sounds so good!
and whats with all the red in the real Buxton?!
funny that you should come across red pants too!
a fun collage, and a fine way to avoid the weather in landscape or architectural shots.
