I think this picture looks as if it was taken on the riviera during the fifties (not that I'm an expert on how it would look back then). I would expect Pablo Picasso to come walking on the pier.

The scene is however fishing boats and a nice resort of Hurghada in Egypt in 2004.

Tech: Sepia and film blur in Picasa2.

Hi Magnus
I like the panoramic format and the details included, and sure the PP with blur and grain gives it a 'nostalgic' touch. Still maybe a little to much of PP in it after all, or maybe the original too much cropped.

Bonjour Magnus,
Bien amicalement.
Philippe

Hi Magnus,
Yes, the 50th. But were you born than already or is it a picture of your father.
Because its Egypt I expect king Farouk on the pier waiting for his yacht.
A picture pleasing, with a lot of atmosphere.

Nice idea. It works very well! Couldn't you post a larger version? (you should have a "lager version post" on your "Manage" menu (see Options)). Anyway, that's a excellent job! The sepia colour creates a warm atmosphere. Well done Magnus!
Best regards,
Marc

Hej Magnus, fin, kornig bild, ser ut som en målning. Sepia flyttar tillbaka bilden i tiden till 50-talet.Bra gjort!

Hi Magnus !
Interesting work, it is as if you just had found this pic in your granny's attic... and the more I look at it, the more I'd rather think to your grand-granny's attic ;-)
Nice idea, thanks.

God idé igen at vise dette her billede på en sådan måde! Jeg ka' li' kompositionen med bådene på højre hånd og kysten på venstre hånd.
Fint gjort igen, Magnus!

Hello Magnus,
Interesting effect... lucky you, that you went to Egypt and visited these lovely spots...about Picasa it sounds really interesting...I'm gonna give it a try! Thanks for the hint!
Bonne nuit,

Léonie

Hi Magnus, I share your sense of humor here. Luckily, none of the subject in the picture is modernized, or they will betray you. Arguablely, there is a motor behind one of the boat, because of the noise; no one can clearly identify it.
A well composed and interestingly processed photo.
