| They say this volcano erupts every 300 years. The last big one happened on 1991 so it will be safe to say there will not be another one during our lifetime. The water at the crater is clean and hikers just can't resist to take a swim before leaving. |

Bonjour Bénédicte,
Une brillante composition sur ce cratère, celui d'un volcan destructeur, un des plus dangereux sur notre planète, heureusement pour nous, nous ne connaitront pas la prochaine éruption.
La photo est peut-être légérement surexposée.

A lovely place, Benedict...somewhere I'd like to see someday.
We have a crater lake in Oregon so it is great to see one in another country. What is the elevation of this lake? Crater Lake Oregon is about 7000 ft. and the water is so very blue. You can see photos of it in my photos on Trekearth and Trek nature.
