Photographer’s Note

This image of the southwestern coastline of the Dominican Republic was taken from one of the overlook stops (miradores) that are strategically scattered along the highway. This part of the island is beautiful; sometimes you are looking down towards the Caribbean sea from a very high altitude, while at times you are driving near sea level. The two-lane road is meticulously kept, although I don't suggest you drive at night - the curves and altitude make it somewhat dangerous in dim light conditions. I wish there was something near the ocean to establish more of a sense of scale, distance, and altitude.

Welcome to TE. This is a good photograph for your start. The broken tree stump would have looked better if you placed it at 1/3rd the width of the picture as photographers have a guide on placing foregrounds or subject at that location. the sun clipped the colors on the left but that is understandable. The photograph is good but you can do better. Keep on shooting your camera.

Bienbenido a TE, tienes eso que me dice que van a gustarnos mucho tus fotografias, de esta en particular podria decirte que el horizonte esta un poco torcido y el reflejo hace que se pierda un poco los colores de ese mar tan lindo, sin embargo esto es a la vez es lo que la hace interesante.

Manuel muy buena foto, creo que las criticas muy positivas de Andre y Luis Javier son los puntos a corregir en tus proximas fotos. La composicion y los colores estan muy buenos asi como el foco. Tu descripcion de la foto es muy buena.

manuel,
esta foto me recuerda cuando estuve en verano en el "Hoyo del Pelempito" y en "Polo". para mi Barahona es de la parte mas bella de mi pais, me fascina como pusiste el tronco en el medio el mismo crea un efecto muy bueno (no se como se llama, lo voy a averiguar), lo unico que no me gusta es que el horizonte no esta muy derecho (para eso esta photoshop:P)

Nice place in this picture. At first i thought the colours were a bit strange, but after looking better, i realized they are just great, showing the power of the sun. I like the colour composition, the sea color in the right looks great!
