Australia has endured heatwaves all summer. In Brisbane, it has been hot dry, yet humid summer with few storms. However, when a storm came, it a violent one, with harsh heavy rain, lightning strikes, it was quite a show.
I stood outside my work building to test the winds and snapped a couple of brave (foolish?)souls out in the elements.
Taken with a Samsung Galaxy Phone and Vignette App.

Good picture of the bad weather, doubled by the glass reflection, but the left half of the picture is empty, could be removed. The grainy aspect of the B&W adds a lot of mood

Welcome back! This is a clever shot, using the glass shop window to reflect the trauma going on outside in the street. I usually like tight framing, but here the wide angle of your 'phone has created an airy feel that shows us the extent and violence of the storm. A great grab.

this is a great image perfectly captured. your framing is excellent with the lady placed just right and the lines of the pavement leading towards her. i love the black and white format.

Hi Justin. Eerie, moody and a strong visual representation of the title. A shot that would illustrate so well a Haruki Murakami novel where his world hovers between ours and some other, ethereal one. Regards. Klaudio.

Happy New Year to you and yours, good to see you back. Sorry I'm so slack with the critiques, but have had my hands full with an ill mum etc. I love this. It's arty, original, superbly composed and pretty bl**dy spooky. Superb choice the vertical cut and I love the vignette which really has accentuated those amazing silhouetted reflections. And taken on a phone too, wow, congrats.
