The Rock Fort Temple, in the town of Tiruchirapally (Trichy), India, is a combination of two famous 7th century Hindu temples, one dedicated to Lord Ganesh and the other dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located on top, and carved into, a huge rock in Trichy. The 83m high rock dates over 3 billion years ago, and is said to be predating Greenland and the Himalayas. We are told that the work of carving out the rock and associated temple construction took 300 men eleven years of effort.
To visit the temples was a big climb, up the 437 steps cut into the stone, to the top. But the view of the temple sitting gracefully at the summit of the rock formation was worth the effort.

This is a beautiful and unique image, the red and white marks on the stairs makes this stand out so well, and the temple at the top is like the jewel on the crown. A fascinating place, and your composition has really brought out the best in the sense of depth and height, and in the perfect lighting.
All the best

Thank you for the intersting note en for the photo. It is a peculiar place and the red/white stripes give an intersting effect. Such a pitty all the electricity cables disturbing the composition. Impossible to get het uit of the image. Only with PP!

Temples of India with a nice photo.
Perspective and excellent exposure.
Not with the information on a beautiful sharing.

This is a really well composed shot, where you have used the red and white striped pathway as a most attractive and effective lead up to the temple.
There is also a secondary lead to the gap between the two temples, which allows opportunity to explore the architecture of the second temple.
The details are sharp with a good dof.
Thank you for sharing this, it is somewhere completely new to me, Bev :-)

Une belle image qui donne l'occasion au regard de partir dans deux direction différentes, une vers le haut et l'autre directement en face.Je crois bien que je partirais vers le haut.

Chosen a great POV over the depth of the road, Satya, with the special rock on right, and a beautiful building on left.
Red and white painted stairs leads he view towards the temple atop.
In israel, red & white painted means no-parking zone.
I other traditions it doe's have a whole diff. meaning.
Nice taken photo, details shown clearly.
Have a nice weekend,

conosco pochissimo l'India, la sua architettura e la sua storia ma credo che sia una terra molto affascinante. Singolare questo tempio costruito dal duro lavoro di uomini. Molto bello il tuo POV e interessante la nota.
