Photographer’s Note

This is a panoramic image of the Roman 'Colosseo' taken on August and its beautiful late light. The monument that can be seen in the right part,is the Arc of Constantine.
The beautiful light of Rome in the evening turns gold the stone of its old monuments.

I have cropped the original image, chosen automatic contrast and increased the saturation of colors.

I hope you like it.

that wonderful light does yeild multiple fantastic tones across the 'Colosseo'. I think you did a great job in your cropping, as it just like I would have done it. great shot from a world reknown place!

Hi Pablo! Your POV here is very different from other's photos of the 'Colosseo' - it's actually refreshing to see it from another angle. The structure is really massive when scaled with its surroundings, and the cloudless blue sky makes it more wonderful to look at! Sharp and colorful work! Thanks for sharing! rgds.

Salut Pablo, quelle belle image de ce célèbre monument le Coliséum. Ce colosse usé par le temps n'a rien perdu de son imposante splendeur. Cette lumière de soleil rasant lui donne un bel aspect doré lui rappelant ainsi les fastes d'antan. Amitié/jr

Nice photo with good compostion. This building is beautiful but the saturattion is maybe a bit too much, I think. Especially the sky is maybe a bit too bright. Apart from that: well done!

Bien hecho en cortar la parte inferior, eliminando "civilización", que siempre me molesta en este tipo de fotografías, (lástima que se vea la señal de prohibido el paso). El formato apaisado le va perfecto en esta vista del Coliseo. La luz de derecha a izquierda le da una iluminación muy bonita que has capturado muy bien. Saludos Pablo.

I very much like the light reflecting on the building, that underlines the relief. The arch and the tree on the right balance the picture. It is well done. I should visit Rome in a couple of weeks, and your photos really make me expecting much.

Yes agree - you got this place in a very fine light - I mostly remember (old) photos in books showing some little dull grey walls - thanks Pablo for sharing this nice work.

As you say the light is just perfect. The colours come out so well, and I also like you POV where we can see through the building. The lamp to the right is good too.

A very nice light indeed, Pablo !
Difficult to shoot the Colosseum without disturbing details everywhere, but I think, you managed this very well in this picture.

Wonderful image ! I love the capture of the lantern near the right side in the sun... beautiful colors too!

On a side note, I saw your name on a Plaza de Espana post... being sevillano do you have any photos of beautiful Sevilla!? I spent six months there studying and miss it dearly! It's always nice to see the local's perspective too!
