A well-named gelateria on Carrer de la Princesa in the old district of Barcelona, popular with tourists who dress in matching shirts and wear sunglasses on their heads :)
When I saw it come up on the computer, I liked the way the people seem three dimensional when compared with the two dimensional-looking setting, as if they are escaping out of their frame a little bit :)

Hi kristin. Photographers see this and that. Sometimes what is seen is inconsequential, sometimes spectacular. But the most interesting are the normal everyday pictures. Your photo is an example of this. The superimposed beaten legs are really original.
Best rgds, Wolfgang.

Exceedingly good composition with the tourists in different attitudes. The background with the reflections is perfect. Thanks for sharing.

une excellente capture, tu as vraiment "l’śil" pour photographier les personnes. C'est parfois tendre, parfois drôle ou insolite, mais c'est toujours intéressant. J'aime beaucoup te photo.
excellent capture, you really have "eye" for shooting people. It is sometimes tender, sometimes funny or unusual, but it's always interesting. I love your photos.

They have all placed themselves right inside the frame here. Nice to see the reflection of you as well! A very good street capture!

This is a super image showing how people share tastes in clothes or mirror body attitudes. The BG has an interesting mixture of the interior and reflections. Beautifully framed by the building and brilliant observation!
Kind Regards, Ann

I thought self-portraits were not allowed here, but never mind :-). It's a fine photo, very well framed and seemingly very symmetric. Looking closer I see that everyone is looking in different directions, but they are all very nicely lined up against the lively green background. I would have been very satisfied walking away with this shot.

Hi Kristin. It's your "casual" remark about the tourists' dress code that made me smile. Well observed and timed. I wonder where he's looking? Regards. Klaudio.

Cool attitudes of the tourists at the small terrace of a pub (life is in the streets in Spain). Moreover we can distinguish the inside of the pub plus your self portrait in the window.
I don't take vertical pictures this way, but with my right elbow up!

Your notes never fail to make me smile :) Especially the matching t shorts and head wearing sunglasses part. A good street scene, and it does feel like there is two parts. Even the people we see in the background look to be quite 2D compared to the customer sitting outside. They look like they could almost be mannequins sitting here framed by the two columns.
And a bonus of a self portrait too!
All the best

This is one of the things I fell in love with instantly when I first traveled to Europe...wherever there's a square inch of space, so will there be a spot for a table and chair. Any chance to soak up the street atmosphere while enjoying a quick bite to eat, or just a drink is fabulous.
I see you've snuck yourself into this shot, adding to the multitude of neat aspects contained within this framework. Looks as if you were shooting landscape, but this is a vertical format..cropped, or were you holding the camera unconventionally?? No matter the detail, it's the scene you captured that's the star here...you've brought the inside out, and the outside in. Unassuming, and yet irresistible!
Ciao for now,

Your analysis of this shot -- "as if they are escaping out of their frame" -- is spot-on. This is well-conceived composition, bookended by the pillars with terrific depth in the reflections and the glimpse into the interior, and perfectly-executed, with the four figures in high tones against the murky (in a good way) green background. And Jason is right -- your reflection is a wonderful little gem, a nice gift from photographer to viewer to reward the close inspection of details.

There you are on the photo ... I am not come to distinguish what type of camera you use ... this is not very important because the picture is successful.
