No we get no winter here in my area, I must back to my archive
Again a picture out of my archive, taken during the snow and winter time 2012.
I took these picture above on the bridge and use the handrail as tripod, this on two hundred meters of the Dutch borders.
I want again show the long row trees but also it canal in a nice winter scene.
Summer and winter one of the most beautiful stroll path along these trees to both sides. Also a lot use of mountain bikers.

History:
The canal runs through the territory of the municipalities Assenede, St. Laureins, Maldegem, Damme and Bruges on a length of 46 km. The last 20 km of this is the Leopold Canal parallel to the Schipdonkkanaal, which is only separated by a dike.
The outlet to the sea is in Zeebrugge.
Nowadays there is a weir at Sint-Laureins.
Result occurs, for most of the time, the drainage of the western part via Zeebrugge to the North Sea and the eastern part through the Braakman the Westerschelde. The western part belongs to the hydrographic basin as the Bruges polders and the eastern to the Ghent Channels.
