I’ve taken this photo of woman laborer loading bricks on her head at house construction site in the same small village (see my previous photo).
Women like this one are very hard working sometimes in very hot climate for a daily wage of around 2-3USD (130-200 IDR) per day only.
Not enough to feed the family. That why be happy what do you have and do not complain.

An interesting street-shot. The red bricks create a strong foreground and their colour matches the woman's blouse very well. This is the sad reality of life for millions and millions of women in India and many other countries, working hard at building-sites or roads for very little money, often having their small children around while working.

The title say a lot, Miro, and your note-suffix teach us a good lesson.
The red/brown bricks looks as an endless task for the elderly lady( white hair under her scarf), hope she is paid by quantity and not by the hour.
Contrast of the bricks against the surrounding is immaculate.
Fine photo of daily hard-life.
Have a nice weekend,

Many ladies work in house construction all over the world, it's a very hard work, excellent document showing that brave woman doing efforts. On the other hand, I've observed in many places that if mechanization were used many people will not have any work available
Excellent report, have a good saturday Miro

Effectivement, le travail semble très dur. Faire cette opération toute la journée doit être très éreintant.Je trouve la couleur de la brique très belle et bien saturée.

This is a powerful talking picture imho, something about people's lives and experience in a part of our world and a good example of a woman at work and very hard work. A great point of view, placement with some eye catching colours to pull the eyes in and the brick's colour is a winner. Excellent photo journalism, a record that has far more feeling than norm. Fine effort, Congrats.

Hi dear Miro
Ya you are right, When I worked the donor agency, I feel our weak power. Eventhough I have to be next to them and support as much as possible we can. So clear and vivid image full of implications as usual.
All the best and have a beautiful Sunday! Takero

A superb composition, which shows a picture of everyday life in India, the hard work of this woman, carrying all that weight on his head.
Bricks and abundant trees, give a nice chromaticism to the composition.
Very good image quality, the lighting is also ideal.
Very good job.
Have a nice Sunday and a good start to the week.

This is a serious problem around the our world, so there are many, many adults and children who are working hard work and low wage. This seems to originate also in the demand and supply to labor. On the other hand, there is a capitalist who monopolizes wealth. This is the future of the excessive capitalism. The difference of wealth and poverty is expanded also in socialist China, and people desire equal society of the Mao era. So, in modern society, that the structure which distributes wealth is not established in many countries looks like a problem.
You're capturing well this scenen by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's impressive to red bricks piled up the road and an elderly woman doing hard work.

Indeed a hard work for a woman that must also take care of house and familly
Good contrast green, orange

this picture is striking. A woman working so hard and doing a work that is mostly associated with men, at least in our countries. The load is heavy and there's no one to help her pick up the bricks, maybe she is going to carry all of the bricks by herself. Maybe she's helping her husband build their home. A captivating picture that makes you think. Depth, details and colours help us grasp the scene effectively. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

hello Miro ~
it has always intrigued me that some of the very poorest women in india (and other parts of the world) wear some of the most beautiful colors in their clothing. i think it says something very good about their spirit and soul that, regardless of circumstances, they still gravitate toward beauty.
a poignant and eye-catching capture ~ tfs
