Photographer’s Note
Here's another shot from my frost bitten shooting spree the other day.. this neo-classical law office building is just behind my house and i think this architectural style is a particularly effective one for black & white photography.. i'm not completely satisfied with the composition.. (ugh.. i'm never completely satisfied!...) sometimes i like it and sometimes i worry about it... but like i say i don't like to crop the photos so i'll just go back and keep trying!
thanks for looking :)
p.s.. i've reposted this because i noticed some unwelcome banding in the sky of the photo which i didn't catch before.. it wasn't visible on the original so must have happened when i resized it... so i went back and resized the high-res original with a different program, one that also doesn't compress the jpeg so much.. this seems to have elliminated the streaks.. then i just sharpened the image with no further enhancements.

Special shot, Ayda. I like. You have shown just that beauty of this old construction detail and I agree black%white in this case. B&W brings forming very well visual. Good work, well balanced and composed.

Ayda, you are quiet on this side of TE.... I would really like to see some more of your work here. You are a very creative person... and I am sure that you can show us more than one angle here. ;-)

Hi Ayda,
i'm not a big fan of 'digital B&W' (surely on paper yes!!), but this your shot is really nice. You have well managed the post proc., but the idea per se is nice. Remember to me an ld book of greek (i have maked classical schools).
Perhaps is possible to play a little with differents crop's solutions, but the column is beautiful, expecially with the word "TH" not ended... something of old and timeless.
Surely you have a very particular photographic eye, brava!
ciao, Giorgio
