Mana Sunset 1 Photo

Photographer’s Note

Mana is a small island about 30 kms west of Denarau marina (near Nadi). I took this photo on my last night there just as the sun had set. I've cropped the original shot & sharpened it slightly.

Nice sunset image. The diagonal line made by the shore is very effective in leading our eyes to the background of the photo and to that nice pier and great sky. Still I think I would prefer the appliance of the rule of the thirds in this one by placing the horizon a bit higher in the composition to balance the image. This can still be made by a small crop of the top. Some more sharpness would also live the details up.

Good POV and very nice colours.

good use of light here.
good pleasant composition. the jetty in the water gives us the sense of depth here. nice pov.

Great landscape, of this end of day, sun hidding some few hours, well captured even if that could have been a little bit more punchy, more contrasted perhaps

Hi Peter,
It had not seen this photo until now, and I like. Sunsets always is very pleasant to photograph, if the adjustments of the camera are managed well they give excellent photos us.
This one is it, I like his light and its smooth colors, its sky and the brightness of the water in the sand.
It's a very nice shot.

Hi Peter,
I see that you've changed your photographic style many times ;))) Just joking, but I like this one. It's a really wonderful composed shot with the pier with a little hut at the end that's dominating the scene and the wonderful sandy beach. Wonderful, I like it very much.

I would not mind ending up on one of those islands. It is a very peaceful scene; the colors look somewhat faded, but I guess it must have been late. I like it.
