Photographer’s Note
Harbour Bridge, Sydney.
This picture was taken from one of the pylons of the Harbour Bridge. Entrance is free of charge but your view on the bridge is more chaos then when you take a picture from the water side.
But for me it is one of the most beautiful bridges I’ve ever seen. Although it’s got a nickname “coathanger” it is much more then that of course, it took eight years to build. It has 8 lanes of road traffic and two railway tracks.
The pylons are more for decorating then actually doing something. The arch is 530 meters (1650 feet) long. The tarmac hangs 59 meters (194 feet) above sea level. At the highest point the arch is 134 meters above sea level.

Very lovely and different view of that famous brigde (I noticed a theme for this kind of photos - must try to find it agian) - I like the caotic sight of the construction - also the people on sightseen "over" the bridge fine included in the image - thanks Hans - too bad nobody comment on this fine post (a bit different compared with your other fine portraits)

What a great view of this bridge! I love all those beautiful lines, but it's also nice you can see the cars! Great shot!
