[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here you have Toledo's Alcazar, a kind of fortress very common in Castile that dominates the entire city of Toledo. This one is situated in the center of the Toledo's old quartier and its architecture is very similar to other buildings that can be found in Madrid, El Escorial, and the rest of Castile in general.

The Alcazar used to be the most difficult place of the city (difficult and dangerous itself to be conquered) and was an strategical point for controlling the city limits due to its heigh.

Wright now its a museum that presents most of the militar past of Spain, including dark chapters of our last Civil War (1936-1939) which many people consider the true beginning of the 2nd World War.

By the way, the Alcazar was destroyed in the battle of Toledo during the Spanish Civil War, and was reconstructed again following the original plans of the Renaissence.

Very nice, I like the way the symmetry of the Alcazar contrasts with the chaos of buildings in front. Nice muted light and colours. Well captured

Very nice view over this city with the castle on the background! Good composition. The colours seem to be a bit pale, but good picture anyway!

I enjoy viewing the picture from Spain. The composition of this one is nice. If you can have a good lighting, this picture will be very perfect one.

You have chosen a wonderful PoV. The castle is impressive and dominates the old town. A pitty about the faded sky and colors. Nevertheless, a great composition.

Well captured. So many small details in this city landscape but you made a great great shot!

Hola Javier. Bonita foto. Aún mejor que la anterior de Toledo. El encuadre es perfecto y también me gusta cómo los tejados de las casas en primer plano te van llevando hacia el álcazar. Encuentro también los colores algo pálidos. He hecho un WS pero en vez de añadir color, se lo he quitado. Espero que te guste.

Very interesting note. For a big strong building like that to be destroyed maybe the Condor Legion had something to say about that… Great POV with all those roofs leading up to the fortress. It’s a pity the sky was so overcast and thus became so white. Yet, if you increase the contrasts the details of the city will become stronger and reduce the weight the white sky has now.

Hermosa composición, parece casi una pintura. Me gusta mucho como cortaste la imagen muy cerca del Alcazar incluyendo un mar de techos debajo.

Hola, Javier. Impresionante foto de tu impresionante serie sobre esta impresionante ciudad castellano-manchega. Esta perspectiva del Alcazar con los tejados de la ciudad en primer plano es magnífica, amigo. La composición en ascendente realza la majestuosidad del Alcazar.

Hola Javi es una foto maravillosa. Yo llevo a España en mi alma aunque de desendencia Española nacido fuera de la peninsula Iberica. En fin... de esta foto te sugiero que la satures un poco mas para que le de un poco mas de vida. Si tienes el programa de PhotoShop es facilisimo hacerlo. Tambien deberias de bajar el programa gratis que se llama NEAT IMAGE. Lo puedes encontrar en Google y te ayudaria a limpiar NOISE en la foto. Bueno un placer y hasta la proxima.

El alcazar en su papel: vigilar a la ciudad y estar visto por los ciudadanos.

este edificio impone sus paredes rectas sobre la ciudad que crece de forma aleatoria, en eso actua el contraste flagrante de esta composicion.

hola javier, aca ideas con los workshops no faltan. iba hacer uno, pero ya vi que tienes de sobra. jejeje. esta foto llamo mi atencino. me gusta mucho el punto de vista. visualmente el conjunto de techos que se entrelazan y coronan con el alcazar hace que sea una composicion sumamente llamativa. lo que falto como ya debes saber fue la saturacion y definicion. estupendo trabajo. ya volvere a ver el resto de tu galeria. un abrazo, gabriel.
