As Time Passes Us By... Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another shot from the hardcore music festival that I was at earlier in January. Between two bands' sets, I saw this guy sitting on the edge of the stage... he looked so alone and melancholy, in the midst of all the noise and laughter and jostling crowds. I wonder what he looked so sad and worried about in this darkened gritty little club... it's sometimes weird to catch a brief glimpse into a stranger's life when everyone else seems to pass them by.

wow Tina, you got yourself a really fantastic picture. I gotta say, the title fits the photo really really well. It does in fact, give one a sense of passage of time, while the guy is sitting there, drinking or whatever.

Yo Tina, this is very cool. Nice use of motion blur in the background, but what does it is the calm pensiveness of the guy in the foreground.

I like the shot a lot - there seems to be so much movement around your subject - and he's oblivious to it. Lost in his own thoughts. Very nice.

A beautiful shot. You've really managed to capture a moment. At first I felt that maybe the picture would have been even better if the guy in front would have had a slightly more dominant position in the picture. But I've changed my mind: I reckon the positioning of the guy is what makes the picture. It's unusual, but I like it.
