one more from Macau...
Macau is a strange place. Within China, but not completely and with a distinctive exotic feeling to it. Its long history as a Portuguese colony has much to do with that, of course.
These days Macau is famed for its catholic heritage, for being the only place in China where casino's are legal and for its food, which is a unique mix of Portuguese and southern Chinese.
This picture shows an ensemble of fish, drying in the sun. It reminded me of the bacalhau, ever present in Portugal, and pretty popular throughout SE-Asia too...even though, these particular fish are probably no bacalhau. I'm not a big fish expert, I just like to eat. :)

Hi Benny. Here you show a still life with fish par excellence. Against the dark background of the golden shining fish will come to the best effect. Insgersdamt a photo with a lot of aesthetic and artistic quality.
have a nice WE.

hello Benny - This is a beautiful still life. The silvery fish are all swimming in the same direction against a black ground which shows their brilliance off to perfection, the basket adds the Chinese context. An auspicious subject which has long been associated with Chinese decorative and symbolic motifs. Superb! Warm regards rosemary

Beautiful presentation against the deep black background, Benny. They do appear in motion - I can see why you chose the term ballet here. There's a feeling of being caught in the middle of a sweep of synchronized motion. Nice work.

You're capturing well this objects by a good angle and very excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the drying fishes on bamboo plate. It looks like Sea bream. It will be seasoned and cooked, after boiling or burning.
