One more shot taken at Yellowstone National Park and in the middle of path through well known Grand Prismatic Spring. I have heard Grand Prismatic Spring being called "Magic Eye" due to its beautiful colours. In one of my previous posts I have taken a picture of Grand Prismatic Spring from a distance and the one for today is more of an experiment with light and sun.

parádní a silný obrázek, který působí takt rochu jako z jiného světa. Kouzelník svoji hůlkou právě vykouzlil obří ohnivou kouli.

Hiding the sun behind the steam was a good idea. I like photos where the day looks like the night, thanks to that low exposure thing. Compositionally, i would crop a little bit fom the left and the bottom, keeping the silhouetted figure closer to the bottom left, instead of close to the middle. But this is just an idea. Two thumbs already up for the great atmospheric result.

The sun shining trough the mist, makes for a good effect. I love the silhoueted man and the rather dark foreground, it makes the picture somewhat mystic.
have a good weekend

There is indeed a magical effect with that brilliant glow created by the sunlight diffused through the steam. The composition and light management could not be any better. Yellowstone stands alone as the most important National Park I've missed in my travels across the United States. You have hit all the highlights in the American West. Now it is time to visit New England, specifically Rhode Island, and the Middle Atlantic States, specifically Virginia. Thank you for helping to make Prague so memorable for Michael and Elizabeth.
