I was fortunate to celebrate my birthday (the 4th July ) with my wife in New York a couple of years ago.
Although we live in a small village we really enjoyed the 'The Big Apple' and particularly the 4th celebrations.
I chose to post this shot because looking through Trekearth's past photos of the Statue there did not seem to be a close up image of the face and tablet.

This is ridiculous: that 145 people should have looked at this and no-one has yet commented upon it.
As you say, I have yet to find such a close image of this iconic statue on TE though I have seen some very impressive pictures taken by a very nice lady of the "whole" statue.
The fine oblique sidelighting has "sculpted" or "modelled" the statue perfectly allowing us to see the lovely textures within the stonework, especially of the tablet and the wonderful folds of "cloth". The colours are vibrant yet true and the sharpness and details are superb.
