Hello Georgios,
ruins and bw go together well....
and you want to avoid to buy expensive cameras and lenses in future, when you are able to make pictures by blinking your eyes????
Good idea, but think of all the jobs in the camera-industrie which only exist because we buy new toys every now and then....

Inspiring word in your notes, I like the effect you have created the fact that it does look like a quiet rather gloomy scene without any activity and the sad abandoned fishermen's houses probably. A well captured and thoughtful piece of photo works of current situation, the reality is there. I particularly like your composition providing a much more visually interesting focus straight onto the main interest and calm water in the fg. Good tonal range and presentation with good detail. Excellent work in mono. Congrats

Kalispera Georgios,
The B&W effect the water with a "metalic' texture, but overcome imballance of the WB, on such a weather.
Ruins combine well into the scene with no colors - looks much older...
