Bled at Rest, a photo from Gorenjska, West

Photographer's Note

Much has been written about this iconic Slovenian lake, so I won't repeat its geological history. The day was a quiet one, most tourists have gone to where they had come from rendering idle the majority of the boats that ferry tourists across the lake.
Bled is a more comfortable lake to walk around than Bohinj. One can stop at any of several cafes and hotels to have a refreshing drink or coffee and cake. The local pancakes are my favourite.

This is such a peaceful view with calm lake water and the tourist boats at bay. The reflection and the blue sky are just stunning in the frame.

Hi Klaudio,

beautiful view of the castle and parish church. Nice quiet atmosphere. Indeed, it is very comfortable to walk. One can go round the whole lake and look for the best POV, having different views of the church on island a castle. marvelous composition.
