We are living in strange and unprecendented times in Southern England.. Poor winter rainfall over the last two years have left resevoirs and natural underground water reserves at low levels.. introducing the need to use water sparingly and carefully - even introducing water restrictions on garden hose.. Yet we have now had the wetest April in recorded history. and it still continues to rain going into May..

I was experimenting with two filters yesterday a grad tobacco filter on the bottom half and a grad grey on top half.. creating a most unusual effect-- quite a bit of PP work needed to bring it back to a respectable level as I had underexposed it to get definition on the clouds

hi ric,
a very mimimalist image in terms of the elements that make it up, yet very visually appealing. there are subtle chagnges in colour tone in the yellows of the field, while the sky and clouds are wonderful and full of character.

the current UK situation is laughable and I suppose typical of this crazy yet wonderful land we love and live in! Love this shot, so atmospheric and beautifully graphic. The light and composition are so enticing and the overall effect captivating! Wonderful!

Unusual and effective colours Rich.Very subtle.It certainly reflects our weather at the moment and is a lovely graphic shot,more so for it's simplicity I think.

yes indeed everybody says it is the wettest drought ever. Fortunately for me the North East is out of trouble. I guess there is always enough rain here :(
Beautiful work here. I like the subtle curve of the horizon, interesting colors and charming cloud pattern.
