Photographer's Note

Hotel Bristol was built in 1899/1900 and is in Krakowskie Przedmie¶cie Street in Poland's capital, Warsaw.
Le Royal Meridien Bristol is, quite possibly, the best example of the splendour of Old Warsaw. Built in 1900 by a company whose partners included Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Polish pianist and prime minister. The Bristol had its heyday during the roaring 1920s. After World War II, the hotel was renovated mainly in the socialist realism style, opened in 1947, nationalised in 1948 and later became a hotel exclusively for visitors from abroad. It was thoroughly refurbished in its original style in the 1990s and re-opened by Baroness Thatcher in April 1993, as Le Royal Meridien Bristol.

Bonjour, Krzysztof,
L'hôtel est parfaitement mis en valeur avec ces éclairages particuliers. De plus, l'heure bleue ajoute une beauté supplémentaire à l'ensemble.
Les personnages avec le photographe dynamise la composition.

the blue sky is the great element to this picture. the colours and tones are wonderful. you have managed the light very well to produce a beautifully lit building with fantastic detail and sharpness.

Witaj Krzysiu,

Widzę, ze nawet po nocy chodziliscie po Warszawie. Ładnie sie prezentuje Bristol o błękitnej godzinie. Super niebo. Obcięłabym lampę po prawej stronie. Nie jest taka ładną gwiazdką,jakiej nie umiem zrobic.

a peaceful looking sight but not lack of lively activity, a well chosen pov to let us discover at blue hour and its sparkling lights created a warm atmosphere bathing the square giving a sense of depth. The clarity is so well exposed in excellent clarity, colours are great too! a seamless result. Great work my friend, Congrats

Hi Krzysztof
thats funny, when i visit Poland in July, i was actually looking at staying in this exact hotel, but we booked somewhere else.
its really hard to capture a good blue hour light when its this late in the evening, but the blue came out nice here. The light to the top right is a bit distracting, but the white lights on the hotel are excellent.
Cute scene with the 2 women being photographed too.
