Love will tear us apart Joy Division

A skate park on the Canal Saint-Martin.

The Construction of the canal was ordered by Napoleon I in 1802, in order to create an artificial waterway for supplying Paris with fresh water to support a growing population and to help avoid diseases such as dysentery and cholera.
In late December 2006, 350 tents were put on the Canal Saint-Martin by the NGO Les Enfants de Don Quichotte, in support of the "right to lodging". But the streets around it are where the "bobos" live. Bobos is a portmanteau of the words bourgeois and bohemian. They claim highly tolerant views of others, purchase expensive and exotic items.

super compo. le titre est bien trouvé et en plus j'aime beaucoup Joy Division.
La photo est prise au bon moment et j'apprécie l'équilibre du cadrage. Bien jouyé.

Interesting shot, you include but also exclude just the right amount of detail so the viewer can make up their own story about the story here. The strong black and white is also pretty juicy.

JD will always be one of my favourite bands - musically speaking, most of their songs are unique and the arrangements were way ahead of time. I could listen to shadowplay a million time and still discover new details in it.
there's a clean distribution of elements here, diagonally placed and providing a striking visual contrast to the gray background. I like that :)
I an trying to remember where exactly along the Canal St. Martin these "enclosures" were - I was there last year but maybe I didn't notice them...
