Photographer's Note
I have posted alot of Blue Hour photos, and I have posted alot of Reflection photos...but I have never posted a combination of the two like this one.
Here we have the Blue Hour light striking the glass of a high rise, while also capturing a near by Clock Tower in the same reflected glass.
My initial attempt was to photograph the colorful clock in the blue hour all by itself, but the lack of clouds made the blue sky too blue. I looked over and noticed the tall office tower was reflecting the image, so i took advantage of it.
Hope you like it.
Have a great weekend
Craig

Hello Craig,
an excellent result, both graphic and chromatic.
Very beautiful these diagonal lines that cross with vertical ones, and there among all those colors that give a sense of liquidity. Congratulations.

Hello Craig,
The combination of a blue hour sky and a strangely pink clock tower reflected in an office builing is a hit. The window panes give the composition a fine pattern and some of them carry reflections that seem to live a live of their own, separate from the rest.
This shows the importance of sometimes looking in other directions :-)
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Craig
a good note to explain your desire, and how you changed your mind, being not satisfied by what you had in the viewfinder. Good mix of primary colors and a very unusual clock.

Hello Craig,
There is something so satisfying about doing something successfully for the first time. This is a most unusual and original shot. Sometimes, just looking round can provide you with a completely unexpected opportunity for a fine shot. Frequently, when I am walking a lane, I will walk backwards for a few steps just to see the alternatives.
The diagonal lines across the glass are extremely effective, breaking up the reflection like a wonderful mosaic.
Have a lovely w/e,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig,
I love this one!
The strong diagonal lines of the reflective building make a strong compositional feature but most of all I like the way the imperfect "flatness" of the glass in that building has given a reflection which looks more akin to a reflection off water - a lovely fluid appearance.
Gorgeous colours, especially around the clockface, perfect exposure and stunning sharpness, as ever.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Craig,
you looked for a visual very effective angle to emphasize the geometry of the lines in this glass front, combining its graphical effect with the beauty of the reflections of the opposite building, under a splendid chromatic range and a weak luminosity of the blue hour.
I like the contrast between the blue tones and the pink ones of the clock tower.
Excellent composition of architectural photography.
Friendly regards,
Josep
