Photographer’s Note
I made this image during a visit to Munich in spring. the poppies were flowering in the English Garden. My goal was to feature the lone white bloom contrasting with the back-lit darker flowers. A hand-held shot, I focused on the white flower then re-framed. I used a wider apperature than I would have used with a tripod, though personally, I do not believe that the relatively shallow depth of field detracts from the image too much.
