Saint-Malo, sur l'ilot du Grand Be. En 1848, l'ecrivain Francois-Rene de Chateaubriand y fut inhume, son tombeau est tourne vers le large : simple dalle sans nom, surmontee d'une croix de granit.

Although theres no sun ,you took all the best profit of the grey light,love the thunderstorm in the background and the bird is a superbe extra bonus.

the low cieling height of the clouds works in your favor here, as if they are pushing down.
i like the seagull too, you have an onlooker :)

Bel endroit pour passer son éternité et pour continuer de rédiger les "mémoires d'outre tombe"! Tu as réalisé une superbe photo de cette tombe. Le cadrage est excellent et ce ciel chargé donne de très beaux contrastes avec la mer et les pierres de la tombe et de splendides tons d'image. Très beau!

Hello Monika,
A splendid place to lie in peace for the rest of time and a nice tribute to this great romantic writer now facing the see alone for eternity, but can he at least take advantage of the place ? Beautiful seascape in the background with a threatening sky that provides a good contrast. The tombstone leads the eye to the horizon and gives depth to the image. You perfectly illustrated Chateaubriand's deepest wish in this well framed composition. Very well done.
