Safira, a photo from Evora, South

Photographer's Note

This is my second post of Safira, an abandoned village, in the Alentejo.
On my last post I've shown the ruins of the 16th century church devoted to Our Lady of Nativity. On this one, I'm showing a detail of one of the houses. There are still several but the village was abandoned several decades ago, when the inhabitants left to the city and nearest villages.

Hi Ana

Superb graphism of the dark wooden beams against the blue sky. Good sharpness & excellent contrasted lighting. A good upward pov of the roofless abandoned church. Superb lighting with the sidelight from the right revealing textural details. Tfs!

The story you notice is similar in my villages. After all, I say it is good for nature, but where we are going looking for comfortable life. Easiest life is not the best life. Where is romantism, my friend Ana?

Une très belle réalisation graphique. Les couleurs et la lumière ainsi que la composition forment un ensemble bien original et attachant. Une excellente maîtrise des « clairs et des obscurs ».

nem parece que foi há tanto tempo já que a madeira está ali ainda e os cupins não a devoraram e o caiado das paredes ainda parece bom. gosto do enquadramento e das linhas que dão um visual minimalista e gráfico à compo. bem feito.
