Looks like Rome is great in winter too. I preffer the summer, snow looks out of the context for that city.

I find everything in this picture beautiful: the architecture of the houses, the snow, the church far in the back and the sun trying to shine through the clouds.
It's a rare situation, as you said, so very good that you could capture it.
