A delightful 'blue hour' shot which emphasises the golden lights of the harbour and contrasts them with the blues and purples of the night.
You have good lead lines, a strong sense of depth andinteresting shimmering reflections in the water.

A very impressive night view for the positioning to display the harbor and lit waterfront, all in gold and blues, excellent.

It should get crazy in Naples with the Americas Cup Races - April 7 thru the 15th. Especially those Kiwis......

This blue hour picture is very good and shows a fine technique. The point of view is perfect and the city lighting is not to strong compare to the blue water.

Hello Lisa,I imagine that you had quite a job getting the exposure just right on this shot,too long and the lights on the quayside would have been over bright,not long enough and end up with black blotches every where,as it is there is a lovely contrast between the luminous blue sea and the golden buildings and of course the fabulous pink evening sky over the buildings and the volcano tops it all of very nicely.
A very fine shot.

I remember you showing this or very similar place before but I cannot believe that you were keeping this one so long a secret. This is really a jaw-dropper. Masterwork of the blue (or pink) hour. You have included several different areas here, each one has its own color temperature and color range and yet they are all perfectly balanced with each other. My favorite is probably the silhouette of the mountain, or the promenade dotted with the elegantly star shaped lights.
Very atmospheric, no words to give it a justice.

Hello Lisa - The effect of your SS on the deep blue water is really lovely, some still while the FG area is full of movement, even the gentle movement of the boats has resulted in some being sharp and others softly blurred and I like that. The golden lights add a perfect colour burst. Your evening shots are always so beautifully controlled, this one is no exception. Take care and warm regards rosemary

Hello Lisa,

A superb blue hour shot with glittering golden colors of the port.. Beautiful pinkish sky at the time of sunset. I don't see that much of disturbance in the water. The boats are laid to rest till the next day keeping the waters calm. Magnificent view of the silhouetted buildings in the back. Great composition with colors, sharpness and depth.

Whoa! This is a beauty! And you've been sitting on this treasure for over a year! Lucky Rino - he'll be well chuffed!

As well as "architecture", this must also be "decisive moment" because you have caught the light at just the right time. The blue of the sea is just magical, especially in contrast with the yellow of the artificial lights of the seafront. The reflections are stunning too but what I really love are the contrasts between the two areas of water - one mirror smooth, the other just ever so slightly ruffled by the breeze.

Excellent exposure with your long shutter opening (!), beautiful colours and contrasts and stunning sharpness. Perfect composition too.

Love the repetition of the yellow stars from the artificial lights at right. A superb blue hour where the yellow illumination contrasts starkly against the indigo sky. Naples never looked so lovely! Tfs!

Hi Lisa,
Golden star shaped lights and deep blue sea on a long exposure. Here you show your favourite theme at it's best. Longer exposure shows nicely how a bit of wind catches on the water surface.

yes, how could i forget such a place, i remember this photo well. If i'm not mistaken, you also have a photo or two from the streets on the right.

love how the blue sky is always reflected onto the water below, and how the F/14 creates that nice star effect on the lights.

very attractive set of colors.

It's been a week I guess since I last visited TE, seems that I missed a lot such as this!
I remember seeing this one in FB. Boy, it was a hell week! Anyway, I guess you stood on the perfect POV thus giving us an exquisite view of this town. The colors, tones are superbly exposed, the yellow and blue create a good color combination! What's amazing really is that dark blue tones on the waters, is that the effect of the wind? It looks surreal!! Very nice! Excellent capture! As usual! Keep it coming!
