Photographer's Note

I found really interesting the reflection of the Saint-Paul church in the water. I tried several formats but thought this one was the most appropriate to show how this church has a strong presence over the river.

A perfect symetry could have been too artificial to my mind. Indeed, when comparing different shots, I told to myself that not having the whole reflection of the church could enhance better the front wall itself and the highness of each tower. I hope I wasn’t wrong. The deep blue tones of the sky are a wonderful environment for the stones which turned yellow with the effect of few projectors.

This church was surprisingly built quite late. It was built in 1897 in fact when Strasbourg was a German area.
