Photographer's Note

We have had one of the warmest Januaries in recorded history here in the UK.. in fact hardly a flake of SNOW down south. If however has lead` to some spectular sunrises and sunset. This was taken over the Northamptonshire Countryside, close to the Historic town of Brackley

Hello Richard,
this is a dream-like sunset picture thanks to the colours and the blurry tips of the tree and bushes. It's almost night over the tree and its surroundings but the sky is on fire. The rich orange colour is fantastic and the dark horizontal brushes that sweep the cadre add to a great effect. Lovely image!

A captivating sunset image! The silhouettes are remarkable pitted against the fiery tones! Sharpness could be improved though. Nonetheless, a painting like image! Beautiful!

Hello Richard,

What a beautiful sunset! It really does amaze me how such wonderful photographs can be captured on a small pocket compact camera - perhaps we've all been wasting our cash buying our big and bulky expensive DSLRs?

The composition is excellent, the large sihouetted trees placed perfectly in the frame and allowing us to enjoy the spendour of that sky which really is the star of the show. Great streaks of vibrant colours, perfectly exposed. I really love the lower part where the soft grasses are silhouetted - they make a fine frame. Beautiful colours and pin-sharp.

wow this is very impressive indeed. No words to give it a justice. Very well asymmetrically positioned trees. Their silhouettes enhance very much the interest.
The sky pattern is fantastic.
Horizontal lines make a nice geometric effect.

You have captured a really beautiful sunset sky in January, when temperatures were comparatively high. I think, now, in February, you can hardly find such a colorful scene and such hot colors. Excellent composition, wonderful colors, highly aesthetic silhouettes of trees in the foreground and perfect quality!
