Photographer's Note
Thar Desert has a unique beauty all its own and I have grown to love it. The scorching heat of the sun shining right above the sands, vast tracts of land with just sand all around with an occasion interruption of rippling sand dunes, where the life-giver water is scarce and the only vegetation generally found are the thorny bushes marks the landscape of this desert.
With this photo I would like to share just a small portion of this magical and mystical region. The desert often invokes images of a vast expanse, a timeless space of beauty and many come to the desert to witness natures spectacle at its finest. The places where life clings and thrives, sometimes for only days, other times for centuries.
Hopefully the inspirations which reflect and reveal the wonders of the desert spark your imagination...

Hello Abmdsudi ,
Usually , we try to show the desert without any human presence , or only one , providing some contrast . Here , thsi is a very original view , with all the foot steps on the sand . Like the composition , too , wit the people in the far , and the cars parked and the track in the corner . The light is superb .
Well done .

Great detail captured in the sand thanks to the low angle of the sun. What amuses me is the that most desert landscapes show pristine sand dunes with little or no evidence of man. These look to have been trampled all over! We get everywhere.

Hello Abmdsudi,
Deserts certainly are fascinating and have a strange beauty. I like the ripples of the sand created by the wind, and the footprints. I also like the sight of two persons on the horizon and the neatly parked cars below the hill. The dark sky contrasts nicely with the yellow sand.
Kind regards,

Hello Abmdsudi,
The desert is certainly very beautiful, but cars and footprints, show that the desertification is relative;) the light and the colors are pleasant. Bravo.
Have a nice day. Meilleurs Voeux de Bonne Année 2012!

Its seems you have really made some very beautiful photos in my country. I will have a look at all of them gradually.
A beautiful sand desert. I only find the jeeps a bit distracting.

Hi Abmdsudi,
What I like most here is the introduction into your photo by the great textures of the footprints on the sand, and we follow them up until the person at the tip of the hill. Nice to see the context of size by including the cars which seem so small in comparison to the dune.

Hi Abmdsudi
This is not a desert if we look at the numerous feet traces in the sand! Good low POV to emphasis this situation, with the 4 at the background.

Hi abmsudi,
I was also on the Thar desert camel safari but near jaisalmer. To spend the night on the dunes under starry sky was wonderfu, although not specially comfortable. Nice view but better would be not to show cars under the dune. Super view anyway.

Hi Abmdsudi, I really like the low POV and framing on two different levels, the sand creates a nice texture and beautiful game of the shadows, even the footprints are an important part of this composition, as always a good exposure with a great depth, human presence and the jeep in the FG give us the proportions and make the scene more beautiful, I wish you a happy 2012 to you and your dear, Valter

Another nice shot from your gallery, this time an image of the desert in India. The footprints look like artwork in the sand. The textures and colors are superb. By including 2 people and a few vehicles, you have shown some life here.

Hi Abmdsudi
when we think of India, dessert does not usually come into mind, so this is a special photo just for that reason alone.
Not sure how you accomplished the dark tones, maybe extra contrast or elevating the mid-tones...not sure, but it surely has a strong visual impact that enhances the scene.
the vehicles and people give size perspective...lots to like here
Happy New Year

Hello Abmdsudi,
I like your innotive approach to photographing the desert. Photographing what you see, rather than our idea of what we ought to see (or not see).So here we havemodern footwear footprints and modern vehicles.Your low pov allows us to enjoy the textures of sand and the prints in it.Beutifully composed with ven a man atop the dune at the thirds point. Nicelight and sharpness.

What I particularly like in this picture it is your choice of POV and the tracks of shoes in the foreground. The size seems so big regarding the rest of the landscape, that gives a nice effect.

Hi Abmdsudi,
very original capture from desert. I love sand dunes. You have used them well here to achieve an extraordinary effect. Wide view with a low perspective works very well here, I like the footprints and the cars parked further in the distance as well as the person on top of the dune.
Great work,

Hi Admdsudi,
Happy new year!
You catch well this desert scene by excellent tone/clarity and a good composition, so it's interesting to see ups and downs of a sand hill and thing like a footprint. It's effective for shadow/highlight of entire colors. And, the color contrast of the desert and the sky draws out an additional good mood.
I wish that this year will be happy year for you and your family.

You created a picture of dunes witha difference thanks to you low POV with the footmarks prominent & big as the footprint on the moon. We understand the height at which you were standing given the tiny size of the cars below. Beautifully composed indeed. I also like the slice of sky whose colour contrasts with the warm colour tones of the sand

Salam Abmdsudi,
I have never been to the desert and the excitement can be felt here. The beauty too can be seen from your composition. The pattern on the sands are really special and the low and wide angle view display the story about desert very well.
The intense colour really drive dramatic and wonder of the composition.
Very excellently executed.

Hello Abmdsudi,
a marvellous composition and view reflecting the contradictions that compose the identity of the desert in both a real and a metaphorical sense. I love how the view starts with the footprints and the grainy texture of the sand and gradually expands and stretches in an immense distance. We get some sense of scale by the people at the top of the frame and by the vans below. I also love the warm light and the play of shadows that allow us to read the recent traces on the sand. There's an intringuing mingling of fresh and older ones. Textures, chromatic tones and depth are captivating. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,
Ourania

Hello Abmdsudi,
The what lower position and the footsteps and the dimples in the sand creates a very nice depth and
leads the eys from the viewer to the person on
the background. Composition and light management
are also excellent and the dark sky fits very
well.
