Photographer's Note

La chapelle Fischbach est une chapelle isolée des Hautes Fagnes en Belgique, sise à une centaine de mètres de l'auberge de la Baraque Michel et dédiée à Notre-Dame de Bon Secours.

Cette chapelle a été édifiée en 1830-1831, à l'intervention du chevalier Henri-Toussaint Fischbach, industriel de Malmedy, né à Stavelot, en remerciement pour le sauvetage de son beau-père lequel, égaré sur la lande fagnarde vers 1819, aurait été sauvé par le tenancier de la Baraque Michel.

Cette fondation était aussi et surtout le premier acte de la fondation d'un établissement de cultivateurs, projeté par l'homme d'affaires (d'où le nom de Hameau Fischbach, donné en 1838 par la commune de Jalhay à l'ensemble constitué par la chapelle et par l'auberge); ce projet ne se réalisa pas.

La chapelle Fischbach fut un certain temps le but de pèlerinages.( Wikipédia)

Les couleurs et la chapelle sont étonnantes dans la grisaille et très agréables à voir. La composition est bien pensée avec le banc et la chapelle devant les arbres givrés. La netteté et la profondeur sont excellentes. Très jolie photo de circonstance.

Nous sommes pas mal tous dans le même thème aujourd'hui, et tu peux profiter de la neige en ce mois de décembre. Ici, c'est encore sur le brun. J'aime beaucoup ton point de vue avec le petit banc devant qui donne de la profondeur à l'image.

I think that you took this photo in a landscape format and then cropped both sides or one side? I wish there was more space at the top of the photo - above the chapel!

Quelle belle image pour le Noël, Il neige vraiment chez vous ? Pour moi, la photo comme celle-ci représente le Noël idéal depuis mon enfance. Une petite chapelle et la neige. Ce n’est pas possible d’imaginer le Noël plus joli ! Il ne neige presque jamais chez nous. L’hiver en Europe me manque énormément. Un cadrage bien pensé, incluant à l'avant le banc solitaire qui a formé une petite diagonale dans le cadre, et cette charmante chapelle...dont j'apprécie les teintes de couleurs. Le format presque carré fonctionne parfaitement!
