Photographer's Note
St. Nicholas (whose feast day is 6 December) in a 13th-century fresco in a graveyard chapel in Rakotun, a small village near Motovun, Istria.
The chapel is decorated with several magnificent frescoes painted by artists from Giotto's circle and is hidden among fields and olive groves quite far from the village.

Zdravo Dasha. Delicate work that has retained its beauty over the centuries. Lovely colours. Pozdrav. Klaudio.

Hello Dagmar
Saint Nicolas is really big in my country, for children (like our daughter) the no.1 holiday of the year...even if it's not an official one.
This post offers a view/portrait of the holy man that I hadn't seen before. Yet all the iconic representation elements are in place here.
Benny
