Photographer's Note
The Oregon Coast sometimes has rough seas and larger than normnal waves. Here along the coast rocks stand and take the daily beating of the waves. A cold day ... winds blowing ... but very refreshing.

Hello David,
in my opinion, it's very difficult to photograph "water in motion": the moment you aim and choose a composition (especially when waves are included), the whole scene changes... and when you press the shutter button, the picture shows absolutely a different view!
But this also has a positive aspect: an element of unpredictability :)
I like this composition very much. The waves are like crazy: even though they are "static" in this digital image, they look so powerful and dynamic!
Besides, due to the lighting conditions, the colour of the water is amazingly different - on the right, on the left, at the top...
Very interesting!
well... to sum it up, I want to say that in the year 2012 I'd love to see new photos of yours in TE gallery! They are always very interesting and each tells us a little story :)
Wish you Merry Christmas - and Happy New Year!
good luck to you!
kind regards,
Elena

Hi David, I cant believe you have had such a small response.. You can feel the wave about to break, the wind blowing it back creating a splash on the crest.. this is dynamic. a great image well done Rich
