Taken in Nirona, a very nice small village near Bhuj, in the Kutch District. Largely affected by the earthquake of 2001, this area is famous for the handicrafts made by the locals. Some of them are really artwork and a good way for the locals to get some money. This woman was one of several who were selling dolls made of fabric.

I have not been to this village near Bhuj but to some others where Gujarati women also make handicraft with beads and colorful clothes
I like your shot of this woman selling her personal work
Colors throughout the image on a neutral BG
I like this region in the Kutch and close to Bhuj
Best regards Ana and have a nice WE

A superb daily life scene from India. Good composition with the woman on the left & her unfinished dolls & handicrafts at right and a few more in front of her. A woman's work is never done! Superb colour & sharpness. Tfs!

A very lovely one, with such a clear and uncluttered shot at this beautiful woman with her amazing creations. Beautiful colors of course and a great low point of view. The women's expression is relaxed and natural; suggesting a slow and perhaps sleepy village. Very fine, warm regards,

Very nice documentation of the daily life of ordinary people...just trying to survive. Sad looking expression on her face. Good pov and dof with nice colors. Well done, tfs.

buena imagen de la vida cotidiana, me llama la atencion la cara de la muchacha, tiene una mirada triste, y contrasta con los colores alegres que tiene a su alrededor, bien visto,

Interesting shot from typical daily life in India. I like your composition with the puppet on the right.

An intense face expression of the doll's seller, as she was watching you with camera in action, and colorful merchandise and sari, in fine contrast to the grey wall behinde.
You post a good perspective with doll on right, and the seling-girl/lady sit on left.

interessante como tanto a fisionomia da mulher quanto da boneca transmitem tristeza de alguma forma. Gostei da composição, mostrando a cultura de um povo e eu diria até as dificuldades deles.
Parabéns e abraço.

o relance do vendedora algo movendo. A fotografia é construída agradavelmente bem, colorido e muito claro. Uma cena típica interessante. Bravo.

beuatiful colors of the little corner of the market, I like her somewhat sad expression. It almost seems as she rathe be somewhere else.
Really nice details and good quality photo.

I remember seeing this woman in Nirona...isn't her husband a lacquer artist?
You have framed her well...in fact the wide frame works well, the two 'characters' on either side...the woman & her creation.
PS : Did you pay her?

one more nice daily snapshot from the life of the city with the vendor to sell a great variety of colourful dolls.I like the native colours as the doll that is lean on the wall.
Have a good Sunday,Danos

Ciao cara Ana,
once more a wonderful testimony of street life in India, an amazing world of people, colors and situations very different from our European reality. I'm glad to know that in this world there are still children that play with dolls of cloth. Fortunately, the PC and i-phones are still far away!
Great shot, congratulations!
Ciao, have a nice weekend!
