Photographer’s Note
Salcantay, at 6271m the second highest mountain in the region, lies 50miles northwest of Cuzco.
Seen from the Inca Trail to machu Picchu,it is a beautiful mountain. The air was clear at dawn following a huge storm during the night at our camp situated at 4000m.

A fabulous shot, I think you were lucky to get such a stunning view. I have done the inca trail twice but have never seen this view of Salcantay. And I guess I never will (as the last time was a real dissapointment).
I liked it so much I had to try playing around with it a little, so I have done a WS. I'll post tomorrow as my limit is up.

You captured here this kind of moment which makes it worthwhile to make some efforts during a trek...
The effect on clouds makes the landscape fantastic.
I have added the picture to the theme "summits above 20000 feet"
