Today, I came back to the Seine river to have a look at the color enlightements made by the City as a candidate for the Olympic games. I made few shots then went to the Concorde place to have a look at the fountains.
Quite soon I located a nice moon light. I had to struggle to put my mini-tripod on the fountain but the angle was not so nice so I tried something different and leaned it against a small ornament. I made my setup in a hurry and saw that the moon was already fanishing in the clouds...
I made few tests, taking care that the camera wouldn't fall because of the unstable position of my tripod. This one was made with flash and 20 sec. exposure.
That's not the first time I come here for few shots but when I went back home I was glad to see the rendition of the fountain textures compared to the previous ones I could do like this close up or that large version. I feel the quality of the light was better captured this time, what do you think ?
No Cropping. Converted from Raw, levels and tones adjusted. USM applied.

Golden green.. Amazing. imo would be as good as it is without the moon.
Nice to see the flag there. Maybe only the figure on the right is a bit strange.
Do you speak portuguese??

beautiful of all :) thanks for showing it to us...I wish you had a chance to avoid the two little things at the right but I guess it was not possible because of moon's position..and that's all for me :)

It seems an UFO visiting us! Very good night photo. The composition is also great, with this POV so closed to the figure. The time exposure is perfect, just to see the colours and texture of the fountain.
I also like to see the little red lines on the right side, showing that some car was passing. Very well done. Best regards Steven.

Excellent night shot, very clear and sharp and a perfect exposure allowing to see the richness of details. The composition is very nice and the colours are superb. The inclusion of the moon is a nice touch. Well captured!

Very nice, the fountain looks so luxurious, french flag fits beautifully, I can feel the richness of french castle from 17th century. Like the colours and the tilt, I am not sure if I like the moon, perhaps it would have been better without it, don't know.

Another great shot Steven;
I can't believe you've only gotten 14 points for this posting.
Fantastic composition, with perfect exposure, and great detail.
I quite like the green lighting (what looks like green lighting) on the gold highlights.

Well composed and balanced of colors.
I like the little moon up there :)

Talk about capturing the mood or setting...this is really wonderful! The clouds and moon, combined with the great colors on the fountain and the French flag in the distance really make for a tremendous shot of Paris. Your angle shot adds to the photo, too. I'm waiting for Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron to enter the photo at any second!

I think its great. The angle works because the cropped statue on the right side is keeping it in balance. It looks magical. In the daytime it doesnt look like this at all.
