Photographer's Note
When I was crossing my very first street in Doha I immediately noticed this road sing. The man is wearing a thawb (one of the traditinal dresses)! So I guess that with road signs it is not only a matter of language but also a cultural thing!

Ciao Paola,
You have a good eye, and good sense of humor. I too am attracted by the variations in road signs, especially road crossing signs. For example, in Italy, and Portugal (possibly in Spain as well) a pair of children is depicted sprinting in desperation across a school crossing. In the United States, they are always depicted as carefully walking across. As a physicist, I know that "the cross-section" for collision is reduced with speed, so the Italians have it correct intuitively.
Warm regards,
Bulent
