Photographer's Note
The Eagle Owl is the biggest owl species and one of South Africa's most beautiful but most shy birds of prey. I was lucky enough to be there at the right moment when this one left his viewpoint to swoop down on an unsuspecting prey. I was not lucky enough though to get the shot of the catch. Better luck next time!
