Photographer’s Note
This image was made in the "old village" section of Calvi on the west coast of Corsica, a beatiful gem of the Mediterranean. The original image was shot on Fuji Velvia transprancy using a Canon EOS 630 with a 24mm wide angle lens. It is heavily polarised to maximise the rich contrast of the ochre coloured walls against a mid-June sky. The angle selected was from almost ground level, so that, to my eye the walls catching the last rays of the sun created an interesting interaction. The image was scanned using a Canon 9900F with slight additional contrast and saturation applied in PS.

Welcomte to TE!
Really nice shot, the polarizer did a good job and so did the wide angle and the velvia. The composition is really great and kind of original with the building coming in from the top right. The scattered birds add some dynamics.

quite a strange view.. it makes me think about a kind of mistery story. I like the final result of the high contrast of the polarizer filter you used, really adds a lot to the mood.
well done

L'angle choisit est puissant ce qui rend l'image insolite , la lumiere est puissante , du beau travail .

L'angle de prise de vue est excellent la photo est servie par des couleurs fortes. La moitié supérieure ferait à elle seule une belle image abstraite.
