What an extraordinary sky !
This is a lovely view of Venice; all too often we see pictures of the main tourist areas, when the little back canals offer much more atmosphere of the 'real' Venice.
You have captured a really curious atmosphere in this photo, the light is wonderful. Bright and gloomy all at once. You have great depth in this photo , which is just what is needed; these compact cameras give an amazing dof even when wide open.

a beautiful view of Venice very bright, despite the very dark time. The composition is very nice, the colors are very vivid and natural, the reflections are wonderful.

effectivement le ciel est très spécial et semble un peu surnaturel. Ces lumières plus basses n'enlèvent rien au charme de cette jolie ville.

Indeed the weather doesn't look very beautiful but you succeeded in making a wonderful picture with nice - not excessive - saturated colours.
This also looks like a very quite part of town.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition sous un ciel sombre. C'est différent, et les murs des maisons sont vraiment mis en valeur sous cette lumière.

Hi Ovidiu,

the sky looks so fake and worked up...in the reflection, we can see a gradient of shades of blue, while in the sky, it's flat gray, no gradient. It does not fit with the light on the buildings either. So did you work it in photoshop because it was white and washed out? This was obviously a situation hard to cope with because of the huge difference of light between the shades and the luminous sky...But I'd take a washed out sky over a photoshopped sky 100 times out of 100. I'm sorry, but it does not work for me.
The rest is fine, compo is good, pov is good, colors are well balanced. Nothing extraordinary, but well balanced and executed.
