haunted house 2 Photo

Photographer’s Note

This haggard house on a empty meadow (haunted house called in this area) on the Belgian border stands already more than 50 years in this situation.
Belonged to a director of the mirror factory at Sas van Gent ,beginning of the previous century. It was in that time a very prestigious hous with around a splendid garden ,now live there a ghost.

I like such ruin. Good photo but why so far from the main object (framing- thet's the reason?)? Regards.

The b/w underlines the morbid charme of the ruin. I´m always asking myself, who was the person, who lived in the ruin at least and why he/she abandoned it.

Good light and nice framing.
The house as main subject (suggested by the title) is little small.

Very attractive picture. Good choice for b&w, square format and framing. This photo (and your description) makes me so curious that I will go there and have a look for myself... though not at night.. ;-)

Deze voeg ik toe aan mijn favourieten. Ik vind hem erg mooi. De geheimzinnige sfeer spreekt me erg aan. Misschien dat er ietsje van de bovenkant had afgekund en misschien ook wat meer contrasten. Ik zal een workshop proberen. (Is alleen een suggestie want deze versie is ook erg geslaagd!)

O ja, wat ik nog wilde zeggen. Ik heb er wat afgesneden zonder te veel van het kaderidee van de bomen af te doen.

Ceci me rappelle la fameuse maison de l'assassin du film "Psychose" de Hitchcok. Vous avez bien sur fait le choix délibéré de la photographier derrière les buissons du premier plan pour accentuer le côté abandonné. Bien vu !
