Interesting and well done work. A little melancolic but trees are a must in our life, but this composition have a strong impact and nature force, that you materialize with a good work. Congratulations!
Indeed, it is a very sad image this old tree uprooted by the storm... The images on television today were again very impressive too and after they reminded us the last big storm in Belgium where the wind was till 168 km/h in 1990.
I hope also you don't have damages at your house.
About the picture, the sepia is a good idea and it's also nice to see the WS which give the scale. Well done, Jeppe!

Sad, We have heard of he big storm on northern Europ and expect nobody will hurt in this.
This picture of the tree gives the impression of a great sadness, choice of sepia is a decision which increse here the dramatic side.

That is sad to see Jep. The warmth it will provide in your wood stove is a comforting though however. Nicely captured photo my friend.
God's best,
Tim

I definitely like the WS photo with the man best - because it gives a clear impression of the size and the environment. I know we learn to focus on the subject, but funnily enough sometimes the subject needs to be in context to be appreciated. This storm must really have been something. My brother will be without electricity for four more days.

Very well seen,Jeppe
it's a "Pure nature",sometimes kind, sometimes angry, somedays lovely, somedays heavy and grey,...it's rules of nature and we all know all about nature,but...sometimes we forget the all.
very well captured with a fine composition, and great in this medium, too.
Yours
Mohammad

A real shame for such a beautiful tree to fall. With the roots so rotten it was just as well it fell in the storm and not when children were playing around it. Good composition and I like the sepia tones. TFS.

Hi Jeppe
A stark reminder of the power of nature. Good choice to convert to b&w & desaturate. I like the faint red tinge in the exposed roots. I hope you were very careful not to get too close to the fallen powerlines. I would like to see many more of your images on TE ;-)

I like the sepia tone here, it is very ncie and it does show that the tree is even deader than it is already, well done

This illustrates the impact of the heavy weekend storms really well, Jeppe. The b&w conversion for this presentation of the fallen tree was obviously well chosen, and the framing is well made with the roots in the lower right corner an the pattern of trunk and branches unfolding from there. Thanks for including the WS photos, they complete the story.

Indeed, a storm in Denmark too....
What's nature doing with the world these days, Jeppe ? You've pictured this tree in a very nice angle, a huge tree broken by some wind....

Yes, a fallen tree is always a sad event, especially considering the time it'll take to grow back. Good PoV and framing here, witht he uprooted trunk as the point of focus.

Hi Jeppe.
Yes, this is a sad picture (it's always sad to see such old and beautiful trees put down !), but the composition and the graphism are very nice too ! The interlaced pattern made by the different branches is very interesting and the sharpness of your picture allows us enjoying them. Nice balance too, and interesting sub-monochromic tonalities. Thanks for sharing !
