Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken in March 2003 at Dingli Cliffs at the south-western point of the island of Malta. At this point, I am about 250 meters above the sea level as the cliffs drop quite abruptly. It is (at least as far as what I visited of Malta) the quiet part of the Island, as it is away from the bigger cities such as Mdina, Valletta, Sliema and such. I saw quite a few small fields with goats and liked the area.

During this trip I made a serious mistake in trying to both take pictures and film (DV) while travelling. The film came out better and I made a nice DVD. In the future though, I will try to avoid taking two medias as it is time consuming and I missed some good picture opportunities when I was filming and good filming opportunities while taking pictures.

What I was looking to get with this picture was a perspective of depth (not all too successful) as well as the way the blues blended into each other between the sky and the sea.
