The Basilica Notre Dame Cathedral in Old Montreal, is one of the oldest Cathedrals in Canada, built in 1656. The Original Cathedral was built by English, which is evident from the exterior architecture. However, once French gained prominence in Quebec, they completely redid the interiors, and the sober English interiors gave way to richly decorated classical French interiors in 1800's. It is noteworthy to mention that the interiors are completely made of wood, including the columns. However, sometime in 1960, they discovered that the original wooden columns had turned hollow. They pumped concrete into the hollow pillars and managed to save the exteriors of the columns as it is. This is one of the most beautiful buildings that I have seen, and wish to share this with you :)
For scale, you can see a person standing on the right corner of the frame.

अच्छा सुबह Goutham,
Stunning capture! it might be a masterpiece of cathedral's photos. it's also great to keep sharpness and definition in spite of a difficult lighting condition.
Best wishes, Hisashi
