Photographer’s Note
Taken on the Priedroef Peak over Bad Kleinkirchheim, 1963 m a.s.l.
I hope to convey a bit of the feeling that I had in front of this cross... It was set 5 minutes walk away from the crowded slopes. Enough to keep everybody away.
The contrast, between those who erected this cross (like many others in the Alps), living of hard work, having often only this as a consolation in their hard lifes... on the other hand, thousands of people, with so little respect of the Mountain. Just because it is easy nowadays to arrive atop, it does not mean you can behave like in a city. Mountain offers, and requires, silence, spirituality, respect. To find this piece of Mountain, on that crowdy day, has been a real healing for my spirit.

Hi Marko
Interesting shot of the cross well anchored at the peak here.
Fine details of the snowcovered landscape and a good choice to hide the sun a little. Nice light effect.

Another great shot Marko, I like the eclipsing effect you have made with the cross, the icy scene with the mountains is very pleasing. I think I will put you on my favorites list because I love your photos : )
