This is the front wall of a former bakery in a typical village of Provence called Lacoste.
One have to fall on this small house when walking down the main street of the small strengthen village.
I liked very much the old painting meaning "Bakery" on the wall and the light on the stones. It seemed so peaceful to me.
But that's also embodies the fact that such small villages are losing their main activities even if they look so nice to live in. We have to admit that this remote summer paradise offer difficult conditions of living in winter. And it's so far now from the main cities where most of the new jobs are available...

You have captured beautifully the old Provence before tourists. Well composed. I can almost smell the baguettes.

Great photo, one can smell the baguette even if the sign is old. Pity that such places are dissapearing.

Well done. and lovely shot. I love these old stone houses, they have so much history. It would be nice even without the flowers but this little addition is great. Seeing the pavement gives a general idea of what the village must look like.

Realy a nice, simple composition. Very well thought out and captured. I too like your message you have posted along with the photo. I think perhaps your shot could use just a little sharpening, especially at the bottom, but this does not really detract either. Nice work.

I was in Lacoste last October, and just like you I enjoyed the picturesque streets...
Very well framed image, I like it being very tight in this composition. And the sharpness is incredible too.
Well observed and executed Steven!
